Nav 5 Sunshield
I bought a Glarestomper sunshield and tried it out this weekend. It has reduced the glare.

Re: Nav 5 Sunshield
Which one did you get as they don't show the V. Does it have any effect on its fitting into the bike cradle ? Does it heed to be removed for the V to fit into the left hand locker?

Glarestomper 322 and yes it fits into the cradle with the shield attached. I will let you know on locker when I try tomorrow.

Hope it works better than it looks!!

Yikes -- it would take a lot for me to put that on my RT!
On the subject of the Nav 5: Has anyone found a discrete way to lock the unit into the cradle (ideally along the lines of what is done on the K1600)? For me, this is a higher priority than glare reduction.

Think it will be difficult to stop it flapping about in the breeze. Primarily made for cars I suspect.
Re: Nav 5 Sunshield
I agree, they appear to `flimsy' for Bikes and the majority are for Cars, plus who wants to devalue their expensive Sat Nav's with adhesive traces and /or velcro on ........

Only a Motorcyclist knows why a dog rides with his head out the car window

We all live in hope. You would think that after a year if production, somebody, somewhere world have come up with something, even BMW as a million quid accessory. Having owned 1600s for 3 years I'm starting to need psychiatric because of it. I find the glare not too bad if you set the screen to max. Definitely not as bad as the 1600 where its miles in front of you..

Re: Nav 5 Sunshield
I can certainly see the benefits of having one, I just wish we had enough of the sun to warrant buying one.
Love my family almost as much as my 90th anniversary RT
Re: Nav 5 Sunshield
That does look like a simple solution. How well does it work at speed? Seems like it might flap around in the wind.
