Satnav mount cover

Post by Chad »

I've just bought one of these covers to protect the satnav connecting terminals, and improve the appearance of the facia on my LC. It's a genuine Garmin part & very well made. Clips on perfectly & looks great! Ebay item number of anyone is interested is 201295447087 cost £6.50. Bargain.

Every bike that comes out of the factory with the mount fitted has the large cover with it.  The small Garmin marked one comes with the GS mount.
Dealers seem to take them off if bikes sit in the showroom or they fit a GPS.  They then forget to put them back.

"I don't believe it", a Garmin cover on a BMW mount, it'll never catch on.

I shall be giving them a ring about my missing mount cover.. Can't believe I've spend £6.00 on one. That's it, I'm officially sulking
:nervous:
I might ask where the satnav is & the topbox...

I had the same problem with the missing cover. Luckily RTman was in the dealer at the time and put me right. They "couldn't" find the cover so they took one off a new bike in the showroom. If you don't ask you don't get, but if you don't know you can't ask.

How about selling them your small one for £7.00. Could even try Teddy Bear in the corner trick and claim a free service for stress caused.

You should all feel reasonably good about it as I did not have one dealer said it's an accessory you have to pay for. Yes you all guessed I paid full price for a piece of plastic and it was not cheap either
