Re: Guess the location.
Correct.
Unlike it's big brother two miles or so downstream at Ironbridge this one is still open to light traffic. With a nice pub on the south bank, we have often used it on our sorties into Shropshire, an excellent county for motorcycles unless that zealot Bangham gets his way with the no tolerance on speed limits policy (that's assuming Shropshire falls within West Mercia which I think it does). Also of course an interesting gateway into or out of Wales.

Re: Guess the location.
#1 Somewhere in Cheshire connecting thr R Weaver and the Trent & Mersey Canal. Built 1875? An uplifting sight in a boaty sort of way.
#2 Bridge over the R Wharfe by a small village quite close to Grassington? Quite a hot place by the sound of it.

Re: Guess the location.
Thought you would of known this Chris as it's Carousel at Southport. The chippy is crap and also expensive but for some reason a popular bikers place.

Re: Guess the location.
Aha, that would explain my ignorance. Being the miserable git that I am, I avoid 'biker' gathering places like the plague. There's my local one in Matlock Bath, last place I'd want to be on a Sunday afternoon, although the fishcake, chips and mushy peas is rather good, and the riding around there is excellent.michaelc2710 wrote: Thought you would of known this Chris as it's Carousel at Southport. Correct and in record time. I would go so far as to say that deserves a tray of chips 'n gravy when next we meet, I'll even go a small tub of mushy peas as well.michaelc2710 wrote: Is it Bodiam Castle?

Correct sir! Where's this and what is it? We travel around to a few of this type of thing over the course of the year
We paid our respects to my last flask at the above mystery location It broke in the top box and spewed it's 1.8 Ltr contents on the way, That was rather messy!
