Blimey I find that hard to believe. A couple of months ago when it was wet, cold and very slippery, I tried a fugal run. Where I would normally be doing 70, I was doing 50 and being very gentle on the gas. God it was boring. I managed 62 mpg. How do you get 80+ mpg?

183 miles on 10 litres I think is probably a world record especially running in the rev range you quote.

I don't want to sound like an idiot but do you have ethanol in your fuel in Europe?

Apparently up to 10% in UK depending on brand.

RTLC, 7000+ miles, and i'm averaging 47mpg, mostly spirited riding, 50% motorway, fully loaded.

I suspect riding in company will reduce my mpg but its still amazing me. However, I'm still having to top up just as often... You wouldn't believe the detours I'm taking to get places - my weekly mileage has doubled!

That's enjoying your RT........ I could have walked around the corner the other day in the warm sunshine,  to Post a letter but took the RT out instead to do it....ermm  40+ miles later    :whistle: 

2010 with 43k on the clock and I'm averaging 52 mpg. Mixture of roads and riding style. I'm very happy with that

I too have never counted the miles/pennies, but as it is easy to see the results of fuel consumption, over the past few months I've managed 2000 odd miles but still only manage just over 52 mpg. Wonder if this will improve as it runs in more?

Getting about 54mpg but that is reducing slightly as I get used to the bike. Very happy with this as anything above 10miles to a litre is good in relation to what I have got from previous bikes.

I've just done an 1100 mile run, accompanied by a Honda CBR Blackbird, 2 Kawasaki ZX9 Ninjas and a Ducati Hypermotard! My mpg was in the 50s, but it was great only having to fill up every other stop  ^-^

As above, normally get around 10 miles per litre, struggled today with the wind, only returned 42 MPG.
