Not my place I suppose, but someone should say, 'Thanks again David for taking the trouble'.

Removing the Windshield & Inner Panel allows access to the linkage arms on a TC RT,

(The video shows a Hexhead, but it's the same for a TC).

The video is really useful, thanks. I searched Youtube and failed miserably, but I guess it's down to different terminology between UK & US owners.

Not quite the same topic but....regarding my electric screen ('09). There's a very small little rubber bumper, on both sides, that provides a soft place place for the screen to 'land' when it reaches the fully down position, so that it doesn't rattle. One side was missing the small rubber stop and I picked up a replacement. I fished it in to the hole where it lives, but can't squeeze it in all the way so that it's set. I'm suspecting that you have to get in behind it and pull it down gently to do so. However, I can't find anything on Google or Utube as to how or what to take apart to get in behind it. (BTW I've only just acquired the bike so don't have any familiarity with it yet).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Question for reinstalling the mirror housing on an '09.
I have tried lining up the holes with the pins and pushing, but it's not going in. >:( Should I just push harder, or is there some fixture I am not aware of?
Thanks

Line it up and give it a shark knock with the palm of your hand on the outer edge of the housing. It'll pop,on.

Failing that, use a hammer...

Has anyone had experience of removing the mirror glass on a TC RT. Looking back at this video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiWxQamJGCg and photo below, it would appear that I may not be unscrewing the retaining screw sufficiently to the stop. Was concerned that the screw may fall out & be difficult to replace. Plus, didn't want to apply too much force when trying to remove the mirror glass.

Yeah I took mine off to install my sat nav mount above the clocks.

Plucked up the courage to have another go. Backed off the retaining screw until it was up to the stops as per the video/photo. Pushed the mirror in at the top & grasped the bottom to withdraw it. Replacement seemed fairly straight forward too, pushed in until it clicked into place before securing with the set screw. All seems ok.
