What about Ross on Wye.
Good access to motorways north/south and east west and good roads. The Royal Hotel has great views and is sensibly priced and has great views from the balcony over the Brecon area. large car park for R1200rt,s to park.

On the basis that no single location will suit everyone in terms of distance, the availability of accommodation is important. I like the idea of meeting and having a natter with fellow owners over a drink.
Happy to travel anywhere.

Why not combine it to The Ride To The Wall 2017. Meet up first . Or something similar. Just a thought.

I failed to get to the centre of Britain thing, so I would be up for a get together. It would be good to put faces to names & meet people for real!
Coming from the Edinburgh - Glasgow M8 corridor, it will always be an overnighter for me anyway.

I think we can at least agree we want to do this. So all that remains is to make it happen. So go with somewhere central, that has nice roads for those that want them, overnight accommodation for those that want it, And REAL ale please. Make it outside of school holidays or it becomes too expensive and busy.
not too hard then.

Right some starting points.
1. Agreed about the school holiday period. That's from when to when?
2. If the majority think the NEC/Nstional Motorcycle Museum is an option we need to pick a weekend when nothing is happening at the NEC. Nothing is yet shown for Julynon their site.
3 Agree to what hotel we all use.

Accommodation will be crucial. Do all the locations mentioned have a Premier Inn nearby as their rates are most reasonable and Breakfast is a hearty affair. Other hotel chains are available and i have no real preference as to which is chosen. If we have an idea on the numbers we could get a fantastic group booking rate.
Availability of accommodation will need to be ascertained before we can decide on location.
I am happy for anywhere really

What about Matlock? It is quite central ,good road links, has a new Premier Inn. Matlock Bath is a biker's weekend meeting place and has lots of scenic roads in the vicinity for potential ride outs too??? It also has a railway station for those who just want to meet up and have a few beers... if you don't want to ride there? Another one to throw in the pot David.

Nobody thinks Bournemouth was a good idea then.
