Now that we've all returned safely from our Tewkesbury adventure, it's time to look forward to the ride out on Saturday 15th July, who's in.

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to "cry off" from this one.

I've managed to cut through the end of my LH index finger with a Stanley knife blade. It's been dealt with at A & E and the dressing needs to stay on for at least 7 days.

That's not a good thing to do. Hope it mends well and quickly.

That being the case, if anyone is still interested in a ride this Saturday (forecast looks ok, 10% chance of showers),I would be happy to do something around the Peak District may be starting in Castleton and finishing over the Strines in Langsett on the A616. A show of hands would be helpful and if there is interest, I'll start a new thread.
Approx. 130 miles, 4 hrs riding time.

Likewise. We had a great time in Wales. More difficult to pick a poor road than a good one. We also had the benefit of superb (if slightly too hot) weather. Hope it holds for you.

Hope you mend soon. I'll check over on the new thread and work out where the meet is then I can decide if I can (hopefully) make it.

Re: 22nd July 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet

Post by David. »

Following the unfortunate cancelation of tomorrow's ride on the 15th due to the weather forecast, it's possible that the 22nd may be back on again.

Weather & finger permitting, I'll consider leading a ride out next week on Saturday 22nd July.

Looking back at this thread, holidays & other commitments may exclude many potential attendees.

If there is sufficient interest & I'm passed fit enough, is anyone keen on getting out for the day from Wetherby.

Anyone else wishing to step forward to lead a ride out would be most welcome.

Unfortunately my bike is booked in for it's first 6k service on the 22nd - the dealer wants it for up to 3 hours (I guess they're busy) so planning to take a loaner and do some local roads.

Tell the dealer you're busy too & need the loaner all day. The bike was purchased for your convenience not theirs.

Which dealer are you taking it too, could always arrange a ride out from there.
