Not sure when they became mandatory but never ridden without one, also on the pedal version and skiing. Most bits of the body can be mended or worst case replaced, unfortunately no ones worked out what to do with a dented brain.

Although i had my share of crashes over the years, never damaged a helmet. Still, would never hesitate to wear one.
Many years back, when full face helmets were rather a novelty, i gave a matching pair to my friend and his wife. Not
long after, they were swept off the road by a drunk driver. My friend broke his foot, wife ended up sliding face down for
some distance in a gravel ditch. The visor and chin protector did what they were meant to do: protect her face! Even now,
after 40 years, she mentions that thanks to that helmet she still has a face!!
Just thought was worth mentioning this here... :whistle:

I wear a full face helmet so I can hide my ugly. It doesn't match the pretty bike

I just realized why most Harley riders will not wear full face!!!
