Next time the issue occurs, have the bike recovered to the dealer whilst the fault exists.

Exactly the same issue with my '18 R1250RT, and exactly the same solution, except the replacement battery had a slightly larger cold cranking power, a Yuasa YTX20CH-BS. I've got to admit it's a really tight fit, not a problem since.
