How about this one from OPIE Oils, https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-90213-motu ... e-oil.aspx it exceeds the BMW spec. for a Camhead.

Forgive my ignorance on oil specs, but how does one know if an oil spec is better or worse than the manufacturer recommended please? Thank you.David. wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 8:21 am Looking at this video reminded me of the following. As per the BMW Rider's Manual, the engine oil spec. is API SF / ACEA A2, or better, with various viscosity ranges based on the ambient temperature. No mention of JASO MA or MA2 for wet clutches. The 2012 Camhead has a car like dry clutch. The BMW Motorrad ADVANTEC Pro oil spec. is SAE 15W-50, API SJ / JASO MA2. Why pay more for a wet clutch oil when it is not required. Has anyone used a car oil in their dry clutch RT.
yeap. I use car oil. Shell Helix hx7 10w40 same as Shell Advance AX7 for bikes but without JASO MA2.David. wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 8:21 am Looking at this video reminded me of the following.
