Just seen this, but sadly it leaves me on the other side of the country - maybe next time

Just a word of warning. I was driving on the Flixborough to Normanby road today and the road is breaking up badly with many potholes. I doubt these will be repaired before next Sunday, but the road was mentioned in the local newspaper tonight, so hopefully action will be taken.

Is that Lodge Lane to Normanby Road.
Is Flixborough Road to Burton Stather any better.
How about the A1077 around Scunthorpe.

The A1077 is a good road it's just a bit busy getting to it

I would suggest A1077 to meet Normanby Road(B1430) would bring you back to your route. Should be relatively quiet on a Sunday, as not much industrial estate traffic Alternative stay on A1077 all the way to Barton. Flixborough to Burton upon Stather road is narrow, bumpy and a regular accident road.

It's just too much faff for breaky, as the weather picks up I will get some Wales and Scotland trips slotted in, a few days away with the wife rather than just day trips. Where I am you can't really go out for an hour - you just sit in traffic, you need to ride for 45 mins to clear the traffic on either side of your run unfortunately, so even a n hour in the country is sandwiched between an hour and a half in traffic

How about the annual RT meet which is at Dumfries this year. Some of the Northern Monkeys will be in attendance.

Agreed, if the forecast remains the same, Markus & I will
not be attending.

Can we start a poll on which RT rider with all the RT's "superior weather protection"
will be first to drop out to due to a bit of rain?
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
