Discovered tonight that the lights are too close to the floor when going round corners!
Back to the drawing board before I scrape one on the deck

That’s annoying!, I can’t remember the last time I rode in the dark…

They don't get lower when I turn them on
A mate was following me and said they was about an inch off the floor and we was only going steady

I know it may weaken the bars but cant you drill a hole in the top section to receive a small sleeve and drop the spot lamp bolt through it? You could weld the sleeve in the hole for added strength.
If this doesn't work How about welding a steel bar to the top section for a spot mount? Sprayed with satin matt paint to cover the welds.

The bars are too close to the engine to allow the spots to sit there.
The mounts I have protrude forwards but it's still not enough!
I am going to have a look and see if I can tuck them in a bit more

Thanks for the offer but I'm not adverse to a bit of fabrication if needed but I don't want to start welding stuff on to new bars and then having to get them powder coated again!
I have the perfect solution sat on the bench in the shape of the stock light mounts but as I say I don't want to weld them on

No probs. Please still do a sideways pic as i may be able to extend your mounts without having to weld. I have so many bits and pieces that i may have a piece that would just slide in between the mount and light bracket.

I see now. There's not much movement or anywhere else to mount them. I will say my highway pegs are fitted lower and ive never got anywhere hitting the going around corners. Personally, i would move the spot mounts lower down near the downpipes and then they would be tucked in more and out of the way
