I only got this far before deciding to just use the RT original bars.
That's the clearest pic I've seen so far of the setup. Thank you so much!
So to me, that setup looks higher and maybe 3/4 of a fist wider. Did you find it was too wide for you, or too high, etc.?

No problem, I think the width was 3” wider each side, it felt quite good for me, iI found that the used bars I bought had a very slight bend from a drop on the right side so I would of needed to find another set, I got a refund ok. Also to get a test ride in I woukd if needed to drill out the 2 ignition switch bolts , not a hard job and I even bought 2 new security bolts and the little tool to install them from bmw for not much money but I just decided not to bother.

If you look at the first page part way down you will see Easyriders images fairly clearly

I finally found the thread on it, which has lots of good pictures, by just trawling through their posts:
GS Top Yoke Conversion Kit
Sorry if I was a bother here. Just really trying to sort out a potentially big decision. Thanks again for the details provided and help.

No bother lol!, sorry I thought I was already in that thread
, hopefully you can make a decision, I regret not changing the ignition switch over and giving it a go, no doubt I would have if the bars were dead straight.

I saw that Renthal makes GS bars, and they're obviously much cheaper to aquire than BMW's. I was thinking about buying a set just to see what the actual geometry was like in real life, right up next to the stock bars. But that could also be a less expensive way for you to get some new straight bars.

All i can say, is i will never go back to the stock handlebars. I really like having the GS conversion on Artie.
With the GS bars, the lower footpegs and the sargent seat fitted, has for me made the RT a really nice bike to ride.

Hi Guys, I joined the forum today specifically because of a question on the GS handlebar conversion. I'm looking at buying a 2022 RT from a non BMW dealer. When I saw the bike, it did not have the normal RT handlebar setup I expected. It looked like some aftermarket conversion, which concerned me. When I asked the dealer about it, they said that the previous owner was military and bought the bike in Germany and shipped it over here when he came back. They said that the previous owner said the bars were stock (which I doubted). So my research lead me to this post.
From reading here, it appears possible that he could have ordered the GS bar setup from that factory, is that correct? The dealer does not have the original RT yoke or bars, so my next question is: Anyone know how much it would cost to convert back to the stock RT configuration?
I've previously owned a 1200RT and both 1150 and 1200 GS, so I'm familiar with the RT and GS. I'm not necessarily opposed to the GS bars on the RT, but I'm thinking down the road when it comes time to sell. The GS bars may be a little off-putting for some, so I'm trying to determine what it might take to put it back to stock RT.
Here are pics. It looks like it's probably the factory installed GS setup with the addition of owner installed risers. Does that seem correct?

Add the picture as an attachment, it should display fine.
You may find @EasyRider has the original bars for sale, but it could be expensive the ship the the US

Yes, going from the pictures that looks like an OEM GS bar set up with additional aftermarket bar risers.

I had missed the discussion replies, but I did find a very nice walkaround video of a stock RT with the tubular bar option:
2022 BMW R1250RT R1250 RT R 1250 Premium Sport
Right now, I'm leaning heavily towards finding a 2024 with this setup. There's a couple on the west coast right now. I'm still guessing that BMW is going to announce a new 1300 RT, later at EICMA. They've mostly announced updates to their sport bikes so far there.

I bought a 2024 RT 2 weeks ago. I think BMW may have ended production of the 1250RT. I got the impression, at least here in the UK, the dealer only had a choice of what has already been produced and they are swapping unregistered stock between different dealership chains, to meet a customer's order. Exactly what I wanted was available. The handlebar option may be more difficult to find, though.

Congrats on the new wheels!
They're playing it right - I can't figure out what they're going to do. It looks like they still had the 1250 on display at EICMA:
EICMA 2024: BMW F450GS 4K
I'm wondering what a dealer would say if I asked to order a 2025.
