Good info, I'm not sure how all of that works, thanks.

I have exactly the same problem and the reason that there are not many complaints could be, that only the 2023 onward bikes have the option to choose the indicator behavior and some still have an older software. On older bikes the new software also causes the radio and home screen reset but the indicator remains with the factory hard coded comfort switch off.

A few days ago I got a confirmation by BMW that the issue is related to the new software and that they are working on an update. However they stated that it might be that the issue couldn't be resolved with a new version.(?!)

My dealer will inform me by when the newest software is available, though this might take some time and I wonder which new bug that'll introduce. ;-)

.

I just received this email from BMW USA.

Hi Steve,

The Motorrad technical team sent an update regarding your software update concern.

They confirmed that this is a software issue that will be resolved with I-level 25-03-500. Unfortunately, this software update is not expected to be available until March 2025.

Your patience and understanding in the meantime are appreciated. Thank you again for bringing this concern to our attention.

Kind regards,

It looks like we'll have to wait for the fix, but I guess the first step is acknowledging, you have a problem, lol.
