Out of the blue started with a new cough this afternoon. No fever or breathless and generally ok apart feeling a little more tired than I would expect to.

So that's me on lockdown for 7 days and my partner for 14, bit rubbish because we both work for the NHS. Be interesting to see if I can get tested because if it's just a chesty cold we could both be back at work on Monday.

Saving grace is that I did a weeks shopping  before this started.

Right, what's on Netflix?

Scientific adviser Prof Neil Ferguson, who was asked about coming out of lockdown, said it would likely "be targeted by age, by geography".

Asked about the government's lockdown exit strategy, Prof Cosford said he "could conceive of circumstances in which some of the restrictions are lifted sooner and some are lifted later", but cautioned that there was still an "awfully long way to go".

Please Sir, "Can I ride my bike & go to the pub".

Could be interesting.

David, the days of you and I being asked how old we are at a pub have well gone!

We may both be in the "targeted age" and "geographically" come from Steelmaking areas, therefore may not be allowed out to play.

Most RT riders will be excluded for being too old!

With nothing reported for the last 6 days, how are you getting on with the present situation.

Looks like another 3 weeks lockdown is likely to be announced today.

We could be in this situation until a vaccine is found, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52308201

Tesco wasn't too busy earlier this morning before most other folks were up and about, things seem to be settling down a little in the shops.

Some provisions were taken to my mother-in-law who is 85 and not going out.

We had our last @Tesco order today. Can't get a slot on any day now. Bit of a pain as my wife is immunocompromised, but not enough to be on the government list, tho her GP has told her to keep isolated for as long as the crisis goes on!So I'll be having to go out for the weekly shop from next week.
I get a bit of riding in as go to a farm shop for eggs, potatoes etc once a week (essential travel!)

Keep safe everyone

8)  Just back from another 180 miles today, picked human milk from a mum to go back to the milk bank and did 2 meds jobs from the hospital pharmacies to deliver to patients that have been moved out of hospital to free up beds. Got absolutely soaked today, just my kit, nothing leaked :)

On the Greater Manchester Police FB page you can ask questions and get responses.. Here is my question and answerME ..I am observing the rules.. but have a specific question as well as a car I own a motorbike, I use it for pleasure only . A couple of touring holidays a year and 10 or so sunny Sundays. After a winter in the garage it would benefit from a run. Tomorrow I need to shop for basics. Can I use my bike (it has panniers) instead of my car? If I can, are a few extra miles close to home acceptable.. Thanks in advanceGMP.. Hello Dave, you can use any mode of transport to leave your home for essential reasons as long as its legal to drive that vehicle (road worthy, TAX, MOT, Insurance etc). The route you take is entirely down to you as long as its a reasonable route to travel to and from where you are going. Please be mindful that if you were involved in an accident, particularly in a remote location, it may put additional strain on emergency services who are already stretched at this time. Thank you & Stay SafeME ..Thanks, I will ride to the shop and back by reasonable routes and will not go more than 3 miles away from homeVery reasonable and good answer I thought, it is not an excuse to do 50 miles but I can at least warm the Kwack up..  Nb this is GMP I do not know if the response would be the same from other forces

Looks like some folks have been taking the mick, a long way from the shops.

Plus an RT is as good as a GS off road.
