Simbo if you need any advice on sitting at home ive become bit of an expert, always happy to help. Sorry cant help with GOV advice find it a bit boring to be honest.
Re: What did you do today?
I tried to go to Wales today. If your satnav ever tries to take you over the minor roads of Glyn Ceiriog please ignore it - comfortable road on a 250 dirt bike, but lots of 1st gear clutch slipping feet down paddling action saw me over it, but the welsh flint all over the road gave me a shredded tyre and a puncture. I limped to some services, plugged it and then rode home 120 miles worrying about the metal belts showing through parts of the tyre.

Took the silencer of the GS to clean all the tar spots off it. Whilst it was off I cycled the ignition to check on the operation the noise reduction flap?.. All working fine.. Makes you wonder whether its the garage queen bikes that get seized flaps.

Re: What did you do today?
After yesterdays' ride, my bike was minging. Washed it, got most of the water off with a waffle cloth before getting an old hair dryer out to give it a blow dry.
Used Solvol Autosol to remove the tar spots off the headers & silencer in-situ, (access is good), polishing them in the process.

We toddled off to the Super Sausage for a cup o' cha, and then onto Willen Lake for a picnic. Lovely!

Re: What did you do today?
We should have been on our Swiss alps tour this week so to make up for it I took the missis on the Isle of Wight Ferry and had a pootle around the island. Back in Glasto for the night.
Re: What did you do today?
Took the wife out on the RT for a bimble around Dorset and an ice cream in Swanage
Re: What did you do today?
I have removed one of the silencers from my Enfield Interceptor, which weighs more than the silencer from my RT.

Better built? My mate would argue with that. His Continental GT which he bought new and has less than 3k on it, has been recovered twice. His local dealer couldn't diagnose the fault and had it trailered to RE headquarters. Two weeks later he got it back and after 300 miles it developed a misfire.scunny12 wrote: Probably better built and no crappy exhaust flap to worry about )

Just back from the IOW, went on to the Island on Tuesday and left Friday, so a couple of RT’s while there .... 4 mile short of a 1000 miles touring North Devon and the South Coast in the last week
