I did 400 miles around essex suffolk and norfolk, did 5 landmarks for the round britain rally. Spent a lot of the time trying to keep up with an H2 SX and two 1290 KTMs, which was fun.
Stopped in the Leadhills, had a flask of coffee and took a few photos...... Set up my DSLR on a tripod beside the bike, appoogies to all that thought it was a police speed trap and sh*t themselves :wonder:
Yesterday, had a ride around the North York Moors circuit between Stokesley, Helmsley, Pickering & Whitby. Didn't use the popular A & B roads, mainly white minor roads, some of which I hadn't been on before. Was out on the Yamaha XJ650, covered 130 miles. It was a nice feeling not having to pay £96 p.a. road tax as being over 40 years old, it's now free. There was a guy out with us on an RT, I mentioned the forum to him.

Took me bike out for its maiden voyage yesterday and covered much the same area as you,may well have passed.Had a great days riding, great weather and the bike was sublime. Loved every minute of it.200 miles covered.
Took my GS for an MOT, Wow! I'd forgot how much better it is than them Barge Boat RT's it'll be nice going for a spin on a speedy machine tomorrow instead of a canal cruiser
Had a ride up to Newcastle yesterday, then west to Hexham, crossing all the river Tyne road bridges. Covered around 160 miles on a variety of roads from motorways to minor (white) roads. A good first shakedown run of the year.
