Ah but when the 1200 first came out in 2005 by far the most popular colour was the silver GREY.

When setting up the Poll, there are Options for the Result visibility:

1) Show the poll's results to anyone.
2) Only show the results after someone has voted.
3) Only show the results after the poll has expired.

This Poll has been set up with Option 2.

Sounds like it's time to start a Poll for the TC.

Were it a less restrictive poll and reflected the most desirable colour rather than merely that which was available at the time of purchase, the clear winner would of course be Midnight Blue which happens, by coincidence to be the colour of my bike. Can't imagine anyone choosing a grey bike if other options were available.
;D
Well said that man.....even if it's just another variation of blue!! ;) :)

I think the reason for so many grey bikes is paint availability.

If you mix all the unused paint from previous models (cars and bikes and vans) and mix it all together then you will get black. Add to this various amounts of Wick's white emulsion (cheap in bulk) to achieve the various shades of grey aaaand, that's why it washes off if it gets wet.

My new 2016 that I got just in time for cold weather is "Platinum Bronze".
That is a nice name for beige.
I would like to think of it as German Racing Silver with a touch of beige.
Whatever the color, I am looking forward to riding this spring.
It should be a nice change from my R1200R.[align=right][size=0.85em]

Done.  I'm beginning to wonder whether we have the same problem as the people trying to predict the General Election results though.  There are far too many people saying the have brown or yellow ones for the sample to be considered representative...

I was wondering, as you started to this is there a way you can exterminate it.  Then us with the proper one can just get back to feeling smug and superior.

It'll take more than a dodgy poll result to stop me feeling smug and superior!
