I came up a way different path than most of you, through scooters.  Love the cafe racer style, my brother rides a Triumph Bonneville, T100, which is a ton of fun to ride around town.  Thinking of buying one, but also have my eye on the BMW R Nine-T scrambler coming out in Q3.  Love my RT, but it's too much bike for city riding, imho.

The rocket is a monster, I don't know how anyone handles the weight of that thing. 

Yes, it is heavy, doesn't like hairpins, but goes like ... a ROCKET haha.  It is awesome to ride - really.  That said, production has now finished.  The latest Euro emissions regulations have put the last nail in the coffin.  There are rumours of another Rocket on the way, but they're only rumours at the moment.


Why do I have one?  Its crazy on so many levels, and makes no sense whatsoever in anything but dry weather and on dry roads, but its the smug feeling that car drivers think its some sort of Harley and think they can leave you standing at the lights.  I may be wrong but I believe there is only one production car that can match (rather than exceed) the 0-60 acceleration of the Rocket, and I've not come across one yet.  Its also a very engaging ride when compared to the almost sterile but totally efficient character of the BMW.


But on a wet day in winter travelling 100 miles, I know which bike I would rather be riding!

Harley Street Bob special edition for cruising in the sunshine and a Suzuki VanVan for pottering around the local lanes  8)

Some great bikes you guys have.
The only other bike I have is a Yamaha xv1700 roadstar Silverado, hopefully pic has shown ok.
The bike has so much grunt and character, be a sad day if I ever had to sell this one.

I have a couple of Ducati's as spare bikes - Diavel and Scrambler.  Then a work-in-progress 1972 Honda CL350.


Kind of thinking I should swap the RT for a Multistrada.
