The weather forecast for the West (Skipton) doesn't look great, how would folks feel about heading East as an alternative.
Sticking with the Ice Cream Parlours theme,

ending up at The Scrap Box (Fish & Chips) near York, http://www.thescrapbox.fish/.
Just over 100 miles in a BC riding time of 3 hours, plus ice creams and fish & chips.
