Hello
My second bike is a Triumph Tiger 800 dual sport 2015. I brought this bike, because when I rode my Suzuki 650 V-Strom to tour Alaska ten years ago, l thought it was a great bike in Alaska, but needed more power to get you there and back on the highways. I rode the Tiger to Labrador a few years ago and it had plenty of power on the highways to handle two full side boxes, top box, and a large duffel bag across the passenger seat the same loading as I had on the Suzuki. Also, I would say the Tiger is equal to the Suzuki V-Strom on the off road riding.

It started life as a “standard” Mille but after an (ahem) altercation with a Freelander a few years back which required fork replacement, I found a bloke who was breaking his bike. Someone in the US had wanted the wheels but they backed out due to the cost of shipping, so I wound up with full Ohlins suspension and OZ forged wheels. My man-maths at the time made perfect sense…

Lovely bikes.

This is/was my -99 back in the day. It was first customer delivered RSV in the country. And after two years I traded it in for a pristine R1100RT. What an idiot.

Today it is in the dealer's collection. I have tried to buy it but no luck so far. :|

The Triumph Tiger 800 is a well-rounded bike that offers a great balance of highway performance and off-road capability, making it a popular choice among dual-sport riders. The fact that it was able to handle your fully loaded setup during your trip to Labrador speaks to its impressive performance and capability.

I'm sure many other riders would love to hear more about your experiences on the Triumph Tiger 800, especially your comparison to the Suzuki V-Strom.I just wanna ask Do you happen to know the serial number of your Triumph Tiger 800? If so, have you ever tried to decipher any information from it? BMW K-Bikes have a unique serial number system that can provide information such as the date of manufacture, production location, and specific details about the bike. Does the Triumph Tiger 800 have a similar serial number system? As i read all of this good stuff but your input could be very helpful for me who is considering a dual-sport bike for my own adventures.

You are going off topic here. This site is for only BMW RT models. If you need to know the details of other makes and models i would recommend going to the sites that deal with these.

Yes, it may be titled our other bikes but when a person starts asking for details like VIN numbers.
and asking about Tiger 800 comparison to a Suzuki V Strom.
"I'm sure many other riders would love to hear more about your experiences on the Triumph Tiger 800, especially your comparison to the Suzuki V-Strom"

The reasons i see these off topic are he is asking for details about bikes he has not got and asked for details that have no relation to the sections.
This section is about our other bikes be it a BMW or another make. This is a show and tell section and not the place for asking questions about technical details that the poster should be asking on a Tiger/Stro sites.
