Re: Battery replacement OEM or Lithium Ion??
Well yuasa uk recommended to me for my 19 1250RT the YTXH14 BS so I ordered one. I removed the oe battery which was an Exide for BMW and found it to be of a larger capacity and taller in size.
I’ve contacted where I purchased it from in the hope they can exchange it for the yuasa YTX20CH BS.

Re: Battery replacement OEM or Lithium Ion??
The mdsbattery.co.uk website suggests that the Yuasa YTX16-BS replaces the original BMW AGM battery, part # 61218531121.
The YTX20CH-BS is the same size but higher performance.
The Yuasa UK website recommends both the above batteries.

Re: Battery replacement OEM or Lithium Ion??
I was talking about yuasa the manufacturer direct. Emails from them suggest the ytx14 which is wrong and why I ended up with the wrong battery, mds have now sorted this out so tomorrow will hopefully be delivery day.

Out of interest, where are the Yuasa motorcycle battery manufacturers located.

YTX16-BS, https://www.yuasa.co.uk/ytx16-bs.html
YTX20CH-BS, https://www.yuasa.co.uk/ytx20ch-bs.html
Both batteries are Length 150mm x Width 87mm x Height 161mm, (see Tech Spec).
This looks like the Exide for BMW battery, https://www.james-sherlock.co.uk/shop/r ... ery-detail 151 x 87 x 161mm.
