new screen supports fitted.

it does take a bit of time to take the side panels and front fairing/headlight surround off, then back on again.

you have to disconnect the headlight plug, earth lead and FM aerial

and the old hex rod took a bit of force to "tap" out, and one of the support arms also took some time to get out as the silver pin thing that holds it in place was pretty stuck in (after 14 years of being in there)

That worked fine. Have you noticed that the nearside Bump Stop Rubber is missing. Also I would have preferred it if the Upper Arms had been bored to suit the Original nylon bushes.

That’s quite normal, I have accumulated a tin full over the years ! !. The Bump Stops are accessible without taking anything apart.

Just outboard of the Upper Arms between the point where the Spring hooks over the Arm and the upper pivot point. Your very clear picture shows the nearside Bump Stop Rubber is missing and the offside looks well flattened. Motorworks usually have these in stock. (BMW Part No. 46 63 7 681 432)
Incidentally, it is possible to change out the Upper Arms without the full stripdown which was necessary when changing the lowers as well.
