I used it for the first time this week on my Sargent seat and found it took some of the harshness out of the ride.
The Sargent seat has less padding than the OEM seat. But the Sargent seat has a great shape to it.

Have spent some time with the new Sargent seat over the past few weeks, and I like it a lot. Well worth the money.

Agreed the Sargent is a better shape and it’s a lot firmer, I can go a little longer before getting pain but not a huge amount, I just didn’t get on with the cool cover. I bought a new pillow the other day and removed a thin honeycomb gel pad from it, plonked it on the Sargent and sat on it in jeans it felt very comfy!, started looking at seat pad options but I just don’t like the inconvenience of something strapped to the seat. 🤔

So i've done over 1200 miles on my RT with the Sargent seat and cool cover fitted, and i have to say it was money well spent.
I did put the OEM seat back on last week for a local ride, and i could not wait to get home and fit the Sargent seat back on the bike as i just did not like the OEM seat.
So for anyone who is thinking its a lot of money to spend on a seat, its not. Buy new or secondhand and you will enjoy riding your RT more.
I'm going to invest in a Sargent pillion seat as well, as i now know its worth it.

Does any one have the Sargent rider or pillion backrest fitted to the RT.
Would like to see some photos of them fitted. The photos on the sargent website are not the best.

cheers Martin

Courtesy of my wife’s penchant for nodding off on the back of the bike when we’re touring. She’s generally well asleep by the time we’ve left Coquelles, although she also managed it a couple of years ago through the bends at the Gorges du Tarn.

So my heated Sargent seats are here. I have Cool Covers fitted to them for summer.
The front Cool Cover is for the Sargent seat. The pillion Cool Cover is for an OEM seat.
I was able to fit the rear Cool Cover to the Sargent seat using cable-ties.
But its not a full fit, the front corners are not fitted around the front of the seat. So cable-ties are needed.
And the Cool Cover does not cover the heated seat switch or the seat lock.
