Have to admit I am enjoying mine , though tonight I aim to take it out in the dark as I have not seen how the BM's headlights compare to the Trophy's

It might be prudent to enclose the fod in something or take it off the key. They are not waterproof and can leave scuffs .

One of the things I was a bit disappointed by after trading up from the 800 GS to the RT was the lack of a plastic wallet key. I did have cause to use it once or twice and could not believe I would only get two keys.

Should have bought keyless then you only get one apparently. But you do get the bit of plastic. My 14 came with 2 keys and 2 fods.

I was looking to get keyless but the Iconic did not come with it. Small price to pay for such a great bike.
Not sure if there is some sort of immobiliser built into my keys or not. Would make it easier to get a spare cut if not.

The keys are all chipped. Each bike is issued with 2 .BMW I understand make a total of 6 per ECU. You can only get a replacement from a dealer on production of certain documents. Once all 6 have been lost its a new ECU. Your 800 GS had exactly the same system.

Really, I have never had a bike that had more than two keys. Or a car in that fact! But then again I have needed more, but then I am not a muppet 8)

Had my most enjoyable ride yet today. It's strange but I changed back to my old biking clothes rather than the new stuff and everything felt so much better.
Smoother gear changes were an added bonus today. Possibly down to being able to feel the gear lever, unlike the new boot which is still a bit stiff
Still only done 400 miles but the first service is getting ever closer.

First service done today with no problems and I may have learned a new trick.
The cost was £157 plus a few pennies. I had left my wallet at home and had to pay with £20 notes. ( 8)
The lady on the service desk just adjusted the service costs in order to reduce my bill to £155, meaning they only had to find a £5 note for my change. It's not the first time this has happened and if I can save a couple of quid every time I go in I will feel like I've won a small battle.
I'm sure they will screw me for the extra next time I go in anyway
