Just paid the remainder of the money for this trip
Popped into Long Eaton BMW this morning.
Bright sunshine but cold at home, foggy & colder at Long Eaton!
I was toasty with my Keis jacket & grips, seat on. Must say the grips are a lot hotter than the '14 RT I had previously.

Well that's us booked up till we meet everyone at Bad Herrenalb.
Chunnel crossing, night in Charleroi, couple of nights with my brother in Unterbach, south of Dusseldorf, down the Rhine to Marksburg for 2 nights, Rheinfels then the Best Western @ Bad Herrenalb.
Still to book the return journey but are going into Switzerland, Liechtenstein before heading back for the Chunnel on the 9th June.
Looking forward to meeting all of you :wonder:
As you see we've reversed our schedule from my previous posting.

It's the same hotel. It's had a big upgrade over the winter and has just renamed itself.
Full details in the next update letter next month.

Bookings for this tour have now closed. Will be looking at arranging a tour to the Rhein area at the end of May 2018, probably based at Boppard which is about 300 miles from Calais.

Well today's the day for us
Off on our jollies, 8) Chunnel, stop in France, Belgium then a couple of days in Dusseldorf. Down the Rhine to Rhens then Heidleburg for 2 nights, Bad Herrenalb next to see the rest of the motley crew!
Be good to meet any from the forum who are going
Safe riding & I'll see you soon.

Better pack a bit of lightweight gear. It was 27C in Bad Herrenalb yesterday. In Heidelberg at the end of the old bridge there is a nice hotel. I was in that hotel the day of the coronation and watched it on a very small TV receiving the very poor quality first Eurovision transmission. Now that dates me.

It was rubbish - lol, roads were really bendy, with fantastic grip, weather was up to 30c with only a few showers, food was yummy and the beer and wine only just acceptable. In summary a really great location, will be back again. 8)
