The dryer turned up today after only 4 days inc. over the weekend. Would I recommend it, yes, see review below.

Used the dryer today for the first time to dry a small car (Suzuki Swift). Without leathering off first, the dryer was man enough to remove all the surface water with the car outside on a cold day. It was particularly useful to dry the wheel arches, wheels/tyres & brakes. I used it on high speed & heat with the larger of the two flat nozzles. The unit is robust & heavy enough to not get dragged around when in use. When on high speed, the soft hose does extend to a good length to get around one side of the car without moving the unit. The dryer/motor itself is very quiet, the noise comes from the air exiting the nozzle. This is also dependant on how close the nozzle is to the area being dried. (I'd probably use my motorcycle ear plugs to protect my hearing). The nozzles are a hard plastic, need to take care not to get too close to the paintwork. I like the two setting heat option and variable speed.

I'm sure the dryer will be more than satisfactory for it's intended use on a motorcycle. At £60 from ebay (see above link),  what's not too like. If you want to spend more than twice as much on a bike branded dryer, the choice is yours. I set myself a budget of £100, which after some discount would have got me a Bruhl MD1400 single speed dryer without heat.

Have used the dryer for the first time on the RT and would certainly recommend it.

This 18v one from Milwaukee does a nice job. Has a rubber extension nozzle to protect the finish.

+1 on David's recommended buy (2800W stepless air dryer).  I wonder why I never bought one before - it's only taken me 52 years of washing bikes to find out!

Just collected a 2nd hand one of these for £30.  The lady purchased it as a pet dryer, but her dog didn't like it, so it's only been used once.
