I thought I’d try a flip because it’s easier than removing the helmet for Passport Control, petrol stations and the like. The reviews are good so here goes …
Did you get 1 Steve. We ended up going to Sportsbikeshop in Harlow rather than Helmetcity cos the helmet was £65 cheaper.

Sportsbikeshop always price match to get the custom. For this reason, i think that's why their prices are slightly higher. They priced matched helmet city with my Bell. They reduced the helmet by £65 pounds plus i received a free pin lock that you don't get from helmet city.

I have both the Shoei Neotec and the C3Pro....for comfort (and quietnes) the C3Pro knocks the Shoei out of blocks. The C3Pro is without doubt my go-to helmet. I purchased the Shoei with a view of replacing the older C3Pro but its not as confortable and it is quite a bit noiser. Now, both of these atttributes could be simply down to head shape and sizing, both helmets are the correct size for me I hasten to add.

The major gripe I have with the C3Pro is integrated comms, stupid design - in order to adjust the comms, e.g. press any button, you have to pop the visor (or use a Sena RC4 on the bars). Yes, there is voice actvation etc but this is of limited use. It is a shame you can't test helmets in a real wourld on bike secenarion, if you could, the Shoei would have gone back to the dealer in my case. Great helmet, no doubt but not the best for me. Its the C3Pro hands down, despite the comms issue. :blah:

I knocked them down to the same price as others are offering, and due to collect it on the 11th Aug as my Old Age Pension will be paying for it! 🤣

It's quite remarkable that that lid cost her £399 and mine, slightly larger  in wine red is almost the same price as when I got it several years ago £492 in sbs.

I was waiting for the non-limited edition Alpinestars Supertech R10 to arrive and now it is out.

It is a really good looking helmet but it costs 1000,- e and more but it is made in China.

An Arai RX-7V Evo is about 800,- and up. After several Shoeis I think it is now time for an Arai.

I've just bought an AGV Tourmodular Textour, I had to return the first one, due to being too tight despite being my head size, the next size up was a perfect fit. I did try on a Tourmodular at the Motorcycle Live show and my head size was correct there, so not sure why the difference.

As it was I didn’t buy it because I wasn’t completely happy with the fit. In general Arai’s fit narrow heads and Shoei round ones, and I fit Arai’s.
So here we go around again… there’s nothing currently out there that I like the design of, and the RX7 V’s (which I like) appear to be on sale everywhere, probably because they’re being phased out, so there’s no medium sizes available.
I’ll wait and see what the replacement looks like.

As you are talking helmets.
This may interest anyone thinking of selling their old helmets. Did you know since October 2021 it has been illegal to sell used safety helmets. This includes motorcycle, construction helmets or and head safety head wear with EU/Snell/DOT rating. You can only sell as a collectors piece or for display and not as a safety object. Somehow online selling companies are getting away with it.
Personally i would never buy a used helmet. I make my old helmets into hanging plant pots.

Arai seem to be taking on the rear ‘wing/spoiler’ on the Evo, which I’m sure will enthral the boy racers but won’t be very pleasant for pillions! Plus, apart from the basic white, I’m not particularly taken by the colour schemes… could be an outing for my flexible friend and a Neotec 3.

It’s actually named as a SCHWANTZ DESIGN.

I’ve been threatening to get a new helmet for a few months, but I’ve been deliberating between the Shoei Neotech 3 and my normal Arai’s. But my hand’s been tipped by my current Arai having fallen off the bike a couple of days ago, landing with an unpleasant ’CRACK’ as it hit the deck. Although there’s no particular signs of damage I think it’s a good time to do the change over.

So, one Arai RX7V Evo ordered from Helmet City (at 40% off) for delivery shortly after our return to the UK.

However, just to prove that Sod’s Law is alive and well my Sena comms have also decided to call it a day too!

I recently purchased the Shoei Neotec 3, which I highly recommend. They are expensive, though!
