Me too with the service last week. All fluids + splines. Top yoke repaint, new battery and a bit of cleaning and polishing under the plastics.
The oil filter wasn't even finger tight and I was getting a few drops on the ground in the garage - thankfully picked up before catastrophe.
I've had the bike 4/5 months. I knew that it had been ridden through a few winters and so have powder coated and repainted a few bits. The brakes were the first job because one of the front pads had been installed back to front! The calipers were horribly corroded too so were replaced with good very low mileage secondhand units to get the bike back on the road as quickly as possible. It's all good now but will probably get the ESA units rebuilt over the winter. While they seem to work fine the front spring is rusty and an oil change seems overdue after 35k miles.

Probably Olive!
It was cheap but looking at current prices maybe not that cheap.
Unfortunately the trip that I was going to use it for was cancelled but it is growing on me. My mother said it looked “useful” - and it is - just like having a big scooter. I can even manage to take my son to his hockey matches - the cricket bag is a step too far though.

What type of carpet did you use. Been thinking of doing this myself to the top box and panniers for a while

It was described on ebay as "Self Adhesive Lining carpet 4 Way Stretch". I ordered a metre and used half of it - might have a second go as I think I can do a better job.

Had a test ride on a K1600B. The leg room was a tad cramped but the power was indictive, It was just like a pure sports bike and for the weight it handled the back lanes in it's stride. I found there was a lot more wind buffering on my helmet and after an hour my hips were shouting to me to get off. One last minus point was the engine. Yes it had all the power even probily too much for me but it felt too much like a Jap multi cylinder. It reminded me of the old Kz1300, 6 cylinder Kwaka i own back in the 90s. Top heavy but smooth

At 7 am this morning decided to take a trip to the inlaws to deliver cards and pressies. Anything to get out on the bike. The outward journey was a bit damp but i was nice and warm with the grips and seat heating on. 9:30 am came full of Tea and i thought it was time to return home. Again it was damp with light rain. Got to Horsham it all changed, i had to find cover. Hailstones the size of Peas were belting down. I could cope with the banging on my lid but my shoulder and back were getting belted. It stopped after 20 minutes so decided to carry on. As soon as i entered Chichester i was once again pelted by Hailstones. I was heavier this time so I dashed into Homebase until it calmed down. Finally got home just after noon battered and worn out.

Technically yesterday, but it was a new tyres day. PR6 GT on my R1250RT, however I couldn't pick the bike up until about 4.00pm. Then it was straight out onto cold, damp, mud & gravel splattered roads, just as it was getting dark and starting to drizzle, all on cold unscrubbed in tyres. Let's just say I kept it steady.

I looked at Rukka’s Down-X trouser liners @ £150, then bought some Austrian quilted liners from Goarmy.co.uk @ £20 inc postage… a tricky decision.
