Michelin have an offer until 31st March 2016 whereby you can claim up to £25 on fitting costs, (inc. single tyres or pairs), Pilot Road 4 GT's are included.
(The offer is not exclusive to PR4's, other tyres are available, but not in the PR range).

I was a sent a Flyer by National Bike Tyres & told that the offer is from any Authorised Michelin Motorcycle Tyre Dealer.
This Dealer's link here gives details of the offer,

Michelin Dealer Locator,
http://moto.michelin.co.uk/dealer-locator, "Zoom In" on the Map to find a Dealer near you.

I have just managed to get the first 200 miles in on a new set of PR4GT after getting 6000 miles of the original Z8 that came with the bike. The Z8 was not a bad tyre, I was just never that confident with them after having a couple of 'moments' in the wet. The PR4GT make it feel like a different bike. I did 100 miles today in the pouring rain and the bike just feels more stable compared to the same conditions on the Z8. Every bike feels better on new tyres, but for me the PR4GT is a much better tyre...

My only comment on the Z8 vs PR4 GTs is the tire life and wear indicators difference. I got more mileage out of the PR4 GTs on my K1600 than the original Z8, both handled equally well in my view, but the killer is the fact the Z8 showed the steel bands before the wear markers were done. In my view (although well known in the newsgroups) that is a massive piece of poor design and they will never grace a bike mind again! Luckily my 2015 RT LC is one of those that came with the PR4s fitted as standard:-) Peter

Just as well by the sounds of it Peter, I've read on other forums of the steel thread issues with these particular tyres...... ::)

For the same reasons as above, after using Metzeler Z6's for many years, I've switched to Dunlop RoadSmarts.
A Z6 starting to break-up in the centre.
A Z8 showing the steel bands.

That does looks grim, I would assume the tyre's were not run over inflated, there seems to still be sufficient `outer' tread ?.........

Neither of the photos are mine but I have experienced both situations myself.
Except on one occasion, I always managed to spot the Z6 breaking-up in the centre & had the tyre changed.
As previously mentioned, got caught out in Scotland with a tyre which I felt had plenty of tread to do 1,000 miles,
only to find it ending up with the cords showing like the Z8 in less than half the mileage.
Tyre pressures were always correct.

Between 1st April & 31st July 2016, Michelin are offering £25 cashback when you buy 2 tyres in a single transaction (fitted).
(The offer is not exclusive to PR4's, other tyres are available, but not in the PR range).

The Z8's have lasted 4500 miles, from the experience of others with sudden cord showing, a new set of PR4GTs is being fitted Tuesday.
