If one Googles Garmin Express Release Notes, you should be able to discover what the fixes in GE are meant to do as GE is the supporting updating of all Garmin devices from fitness watches to SatNavs.


Some folk on this forum might have learnt from very bitter experience that it is important to have the latest version of GE installed before doing any map updates (I am referring to when European maps were split into North and South).


Personally, I only update GE before I do a map update or if there is specific problem with the SatNav, such a fixing the year roll-over problem on the Nav 5.
