Possibly, I just posted some info for the benefit of other owners. Not had the fuse error since I freed up the flap. Could just be coincidence at the end of the day

Thats interesting. I hope its resolved now. I got some of this for the flap valve as it goes up to 1100c and should help with the high temp.

I think we need to set up a rota for checking Beagle's welfare.  If BMW find out that he's found a way to thwart their little money-making scheme of making people buy new headers then, well, you never know.  You know what I'm sayin'....

My mates r1250RT had its headers replaced yesterday, stuck exhaust flap at 8000 miles

lol, I know, I greased mine a couple of weeks ago, but think I'll just leave it now, still have 2 years warranty left, get a new set and then start preventive maintenance

It’s weird how there’s no consistency though. My 2016 with 20,000 miles is ok (touch wood!) I always listen for the valve cycling when I first switch on the ignition.

Mine 37000miles  no problems. Maybe they need to be used?

When switching the ignition on, the sound is likely to be the servo motor rather than the valve itself. A physical check of the valve every now & then might be a good idea.

Nope, my mate did over 8000 miles in a year and on my 2014 I did 25k in just over 3 years and went through two stuck flaps. The RTp that I freed the valve on last week has covered 50k hard miles, ie all year around

David, I’ve now replicated your work and the video... it worked amazingly well. My exhaust flap is now moving freely and the servo close and opens it when the ignition comes on. I’ve also used the graphite power.

The bike goes in for a service next week, so hopefully the fault code will have gone too.
