always - that's also why I opted for the faster (and much better looking) grey one...
 :enjoying:
Nah! Posing requires slow ride-bys (sounds like using a gun from a bike !!), so grey coloured RTs fit the bill more than the faster, superior SM Blue ones!
Noticed your comments on coding the lock
Coding of the lock refers to putting the numbers in to match the key, this is a very simple job and can be done by anyone with a lichen table, some tweezers (I used my wife's) and a pen and paper "Check ut the several You Tube clips"
Coding the locks is indeed straightforward - ref comments #50 onwards on this thread. Lichen table?? Nah, just a flat uncluttered surface suffices....!

Why is the older one so much cheaper, I have a 2012 RT
Just because they can charge more for new one. I actually wanted the new one so I could add an upper LED tail/brake light. New style fits the body lines of the LC a little better, but they are both big blobs.

As mercator1 says, 'cos they can, and do. Besides, someone's got to bear the brunt of re-designing the box and fitting those nice little gas struts and the weird box to rack locking device...!! I still bought one of the new ones mind you, so I can't say too much against it!
The only way I could halfway justify the cost of the new case was that I was able to have it shipped from Germany to Alabama, USA for nearly $500 less than my local dealer wanted. I got the new (non-electric) case for about what he wanted for the old style. Of course, I could have gotten the old style for hundreds less than I spent, but I choose to ignore that.

everything you say about the blue one is correct Steve - apart from two things...
:alas: :alas:
Now what would those two things be I wonder Richard...........vibrant and colourful unlike old and dense callisto grey (like its Jupiter moon namesake!) :alas:
Well, I could go geeky and weird and generate one of these voting threads on the best colour for the R1200RT, but rest assured, I won't !! I'll just remain very contented that my SM Blue is, IMHO (and that of many other proud RT owners), the more desirable colour!
