Hi there,
Is it possible to have the windshield stay up with the power off? It be handy for cleaning purposes.
Thanks for any input/advice/direction,

Think you would need to disconnect the battery when it was up. On the 1600s it stays up when the GPS cradle is open. We can only hope that in some future world BMW fit the system to the RT. .

Another one of those minor irritations that could be solved with software code - Eg Menu item Windscreen Auto Retract - On / Off. Obviously test riders at BMW don't have to wash their bikes !

On my 13 RT I find it easier to remove the screen to give it a decent clean

Nearly as easy to do on an LC, just 6 bolts.

As always....thanks for the great responses! Like the idea of a software update for future, so I'll drop a line to the folks at BMW. In the meantime, I'll pop the screen off for a good clean :-) Sun is shining on the West Coast as I type, so think its time for the ball & chain and I to go for an evening ride to the mountains....yippee!!
