Uploading photos- problems

I've been trying to upload a photo but I keep getting a message- 'not a valid picture file'. The photo was taken on my iPad, which I use for the forum. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?? I'm adding the keyword, title etc but still no luck.

Well - seems everything is working ?
How big in size (megabytes) is your images - and use lowercase letters like .jpg .gif etc as image type (last letters)

Steinar, that's what happens to my upload, if you notice my avatar its on its side, yet when it leaves it correct?

I will look into this.
The server is trying to be smart, and auto-rotate the image.

I don't know what size the image is- I point the iPad at the bike, take the photo & then try & up load it. I can't see any info on the iPad regarding image size. Other photos upload albeit sideways, & when I try to rotate it, it never seems to go to the position I want.
