Hi All,
Some time ago I posted a question re whether or not I should install shift assist on my R1200RT. Well, guess what I found out yesterday? While picking up my R1200RT from the dealer yesterday after its 1000km service I decided to ask the tech if it was a big and costly job to install gear shift assist. He looked at me dumbfounded and said why? I mentioned I thought it might be a nice feature to have. He replied " you all ready have it" saved me around 1400 dollars to boot. Today was spent enjoying this neat feature, which I wasn't charged for when I bought the bike a couple of months ago :-)
