UK Police new Rts
waiting for the registration tags to come through. After 7000 miles on mine I'm looking forward to a legitimate play
Re: UK Police new Rts
They are shown in Real OEM, Section 46. Problem is they have a different mounting system and you would no doubt have to butcher the back of your bike to fit them.

I think I might go for those David, once they finally become available.
Any more takers?

Re: UK Police new Rts
I suppose the box width has a part to play in my issue with these boxes, but it's not all of it. The width is not really my issue as I have rear protection bars, it's the loading even with my inner bags there is always fiddly tucking and squeezing to finally close the lids gggggrrrrrrrrr! drives me up the wall.
Re: UK Police new Rts
BMW once made top loading pannier, for the R1200C Cruiser. They were junk.

How do like the new watercooled RT-Ps? How does it compare to your civilian bike?7vwh wrote: waiting for the registration tags to come through. After 7000 miles on mine I'm looking forward to a legitimate play

Re: UK Police new Rts
The RT-P seems 'rough' without the ESA, Gear Shift Pro and cruise control. I have the high seat but the RTPs have standard seats so my hips and groin seem to suffer from the riding position. A positive is that due to the lowered seat I don't get as much wind blast/noise around my ears on the RTP at speed (+100mph), I suppose it's a toss up between walking like John Wayne and being able to hear clearly!!elephant8869 wrote: How do like the new watercooled RT-Ps? In all I enjoy both but prefer my civilian version, it's tailored to me (still working on a taller screen). I can ride 'quickly' on either with equal confidence and despite the lack of top speed they are a massive improvement over the FJR and smoother than the air cooled RTs we used to have.
Re: UK Police new Rts
I concur, fully spec'd up, I prefer my own to the RTP. However it is a tad embarrassing when one forgets one isn't on one's own chariot and tries to change gear without gear shift assist!
