What have you got planned for 2016?
Having finally completed the Service Items, Cleaning & ACF-50 Treatment of my RT for Laying up/Winter Storage, thoughts now turn to 2016.
I haven't got anything planned yet, have you?

Three tours so far all with Pidcock Travel. Late May a 6 day trip to Vianden in Luxembourg. Gives us 5 days to tour round the Eifel,Mosel and the Ardennes. In July 8 day trip up to the Orkney Islands with 4 days on the island. In Sept 4 days in Northumberland based in Alnwick. Should add up to about 4K.

RTman, just looked on the Pidcock's site and can't find the 2016 Scottish trip.
They still have the Sept 2015 on there.
Is it me? or haven't they posted it yet?

We took last years Scottish trip off yesterday so hopefully now gone. The Orkney trip is unfortunately sold out. If your interested I can put you on the waiting list. Send me a pm and I will email you a brochure. PIDCOCK home page shows 2015 tour but the BMW page does not (can't get the staff)

I can definitely recommend Vianden. Hotel Petry is very biker friendly, I've been there a couple of times and it is a very pleasant little town with great roads in the area.RTman10 wrote: Three tours so far all with Pidcock Travel. Might be taking some friends back there for a week in June if we don't go to Normandy again.

We are staying in the Bellevue which is the sister hotel to the Petry. Secure indoor bike parking, huge swimming pool etc.

Just booked Chunnel for 1/07/2016, going down to Innertkirchen, Switzerland to ride passes, on down via Val d'isere to Embrun and ride a few roads round that area, tracking back North and heading home on 10/07. Still considering where to go for another trip early June, might do Scotland again.

Staying in the UK next year...
In May I have a few days camping with the boys from work exploring the roads around Applecross, Skye and Torridon.
June will see me in Haltwhistle for the Centre of Britain weekend, indulging in the luxury of room 2.
In August the bike, tent and I will be heading for the Outer Hebrides, sailing from Ullapool to Lewis then spending the next 5 days exploring and riding south through the islands before getting the ferry from Barra back to Oban.
I'm sure the wife will want to get a couple of long weekends away as well, hotels and B&Bs only though, she is not best of friends with the tent!

Every June my son (autistic) and I go for a 7-10 day trip. Usually back roads in New England. This year we are doing 15 days and going from Maryland to Cape Breton. Planning to mostly camp with some hotels in the mix. Looking to see some beautiful country and listen to some good gaelic music in Cape Breton.

Hoping to have a go at this, adverse weather forced cancellation this year. 660 ish miles and another 600 or so there and back. Looks abit of a mish mash but can't avoid a little overlap.

Had hoped to do something similar in 2014, but like you, our plans were cancelled because of the poor weather forecast.k9doc wrote:Hoping to have a go at this, adverse weather forced cancellation this year.
We were going to be based in Arrochar, might look at it again in 2016.

@daverj. Both fantastic biking areas. If you've not been before, you're in for a gob smacking trip. Envious ? Not me. (That's a porky BTW)
