I am the very happy new owner of a 2006 rt with 32 K miles on it, I am in San Francisco, CA. Just introducing myself for now, I am sure I'll need a lot of advice soon.
It needs tires, rear break pads and oil change; which I'll do myself when I get all the parts. Can't wait for my next trip! It's going to be hard to sell my FZ1 that I had for 11 years.

Welcome Nando nice to have you on board and enjoy the bike. When you are ready to post enquiries about accessories and tips make sure you go to the right part of the Forum that way you will get the best advice and guidance and quite possibly see somebody has posted the same question and its resolution it will save you a lot of time waiting on replies. Good Luck

Hi Nando, welcome, enjoy both, this forum and your new `toy'......

Welcome Bando. Just be aware your bike has electro servo brakes. No problem with pad changes but don't be tempted to change the fluid. It is a dealer job as it takes a special tool to bleed the system..

I feel your pain, I went down the same route last year after 9 years, no regrets though :-)Nando wrote: ! It's going to be hard to sell my FZ1 that I had for 11 years.

Nice FZ1. I'm on my second one of those, but looking to pick up a new RT after the first of the year. I'll try to hold on to the FZ as well, because for everything but long distance touring, it's hard to beat.

Wow, nice looking bikes there! So far no regrets, the RT has such a cool personality with the boxer engine and the overall look.7vwh wrote: I feel your pain, I went down the same route last year after 9 years, no regrets though :-)
