Can you Guys keep me rite on some travel info for Bosnia and Montenegro.
Do I need to acquire and international driving permit? What is this green card?, what does it allow you to do?, I think perhaps it is a covering letter from your insurance that states that you are covered for the specific country, providing that the insurer covers this country? ??? ?, if this is true are they accepted at the border crossings hassle free?Is there a UK insurance company that will cover these areas?, my insurance will be due for renewal before I go and I would prefer to have fully comp or at least have the level of cover on offer in place before I go.
Failing getting cover before I go (preferred option) I understand that some border crossings allow you to purchase 3rd party insurance at their kiosks for a random price, can anyone confirm if the border crossing between Croatia and Montenegro on the coastal road "number 8" has such a facility? Also I will be riding from Kotor to Sarajevo, does anyone know of a border crossing that will issue third party insurance?...Chris....

Re: Balklans documentation
Last travelled to Croatia 3yrs ago and needed a Vignette - (16 day or one month Toll Sticker ) for both Austria and Slovenia . Long traffic delays at Croatian Border as they had reinstigated their Border Controls. The Vignette's are available at most Service Area's / large garages and are not expensive. Not sure on todays prices though as stated , was 3 years ago. UK Licece & Insurance, fine and no problem, but check on vehicle recovery. Nice Country though......

I currently have a Six Wheel Policy with Carole Nash, see Section 4, Travelling Abroad on page 8.
http://www.carolenash.com/pdfs/wp-conte ... c-2013.pdf
MINIMUM COVER OUTSIDE THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS
This policy also provides the minimum cover you need by law to use your vehicle in any country not in the European Union which the Commission of the European Union approves as meeting the conditions of Article 7 (2) of the Directive on Insurance of Civil Liabilities arising from using motor vehicles (72/166/EEC).
If you need more than the minimum cover outside the territorial limits and we agree to give you this cover, as long as you pay any extra premium we ask for we will give you an international insurance certificate (Green Card) which proves you are insured for the time you will be away.

Does it allow you to have two Reliant Robins or two sidecar outfits?
