You will find your handbook tells you how much oil is shown in the sight glass.

The Rider's Manual says that the oil quantity for topping up is a max. of 0.5 l, between the MIN and MAX (bottom and top) of the sight glass.Mike wrote:R1200RT. 2010 TC. Half way down inspection glass. What quantity do I need to add?
Halfway down the sight glass would take approx. 250 ml.
I like to see the oil at the top of the sight glass when the engine is cold.
