My New Ride
My New Ride
Just purchased my first BMW motorcycle and my first wet head! Having accessories added by the dealer and will pick-up this coming Wednesday. Nothing for you experienced riders to get excited about, but I'm excited!!!

That's a beauty, I love that blue option. I have a 2016 I bought in April, went with the platinum bronze color. Where are you located?Rudy G. Congratulations.
My first choice would have been the blue before I bought the Smoked candy Bordeaux version.
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.

Love my ride it's the second RT I've owned, bought mine in late May and already have over 3k on her. I really enjoy the ProShift in the canyons downshifting. 2 up riding is also great my other half loves the comfort and communications via helmets. Be safe enjoy the day!

The '17 blue/ebony is very cool.stayingupright wrote: Congratulations.

I got the '16 ebony/brown/burgundy/something and am actually happy with it.
I like the way the color varies from black/brown to gold or reddish brown depending on the light, with the help of the subtle metal flake.
The predominant shade seems to be a metal flake root beer to my eyes.

Haha - it's the stock screen, fully extended.RTman10 wrote: That screen looks huge. Can you see over it if you stand on the pegs.
It does look kind of ridiculous, but nice on a 35 degree day.
Big criticism on the stock screen is it doesn't seem wide enough - allows a good deal of air on the shoulders and torso.
Of course, I just came from a Goldwing and it is January in Washington - I might like it just fine in hot weather.

It's plenty big enough for the summers in Oregon, I nearly always have it in the lowest position.

Re: My New Ride
Nice bike, I notice that the engine/transmission is painted silver whereas mine is black. Is it only the EU spec bikes that are black due to problems with corrosion?
