Yes, thanks for the heads up, G E & Zumo 660 updated, not that long since the previous updates.

Just had the same problem I had a couple of weeks ago going from 2 to 3. Update failed half way through. That's on a Microsoft Surface . Just reinstalled the whole thing and it replaced the previous version. All in a couple of minutes.

Update on my small problem. I initially uninstalled Express and them reinstalled it to get the latest update. Downside to this is the new version doesn't recognise your GPS and you have to re-register it with Garmin. However if you just download the latest version it will bring the unit across from the old version. Clear as mud ah.

Having updated both G E & Zumo 660 yesterday, thought I'd better check all is well.
Opened G E (without the device connected), the G E panel says "Not Connected", plugged in the Zumo 660 & the G E panel says "Connected", the jobs a good one.

One thing I would like to report is the problem with the leads between the pc and the Garmin.
I have several leads I could use for the transfer of data and updates etc but half of them will charge the device but not show up the device in Garmin Express.
This appears to be a very common problem with a lot of the cheaper leads.
So if you are having problems getting GE to recognise your device ... Change your lead first.

Surely your unit came with a lead. Why not always use that one which is sure to work.

My Nav V did not come with a lead I'm sure. Will check the box when I get home for contents list.
Also had the same problem with both Sena headsets I've had.
Power cables don't always transmit data as well.

If you got it new in its box it does . Has a little Garmin tag on it. If the dealer had opened the carton to insert its battery etc, go back and get it. It's shown in Real OEM as being there Pt No 77 52 8 544 463

When using the Garmin Zumo 660 USB lead, data can be transferred between the PC & the device.
At the same time, the device is being charged from the PC.
Communicates ok with G E too.

Mine did, but that lead doesn't work any better than the other ones I have, as I swap around
