Just about to hunt down a decent pair of winter goretex gloves.


I have an old pair of A stars goretex but they are not that warm. heated grips keep the palm warm but not the finger tips.


Has anyone got any recommends from personal experience

Not going to tell you mine as I always get picked on for saying BMW.

I bought a pari of BMW Winter gloves, very warm and waterproof, only complaint, they are pretty thick so buttons are harder to press. I also have a pair of Gerbing heated gloves which are pretty good.

There you go, you have it.  BMW Winter ones.  Seem to go on forever. Few years ago they made them with white linings.  Brilliant idea .

Got a pair of Dainese Travelguard Gore Tex Gloves, prefer suede rather that leather, they don't feel as bulky & are more flexible.

Have a look at Halvarssons gloves. Bought a pair last year, not sure of model but cost just under £100. Best gloves I have had. A good fit (size 12) and weatherproof.

I use the BMW Pro Winter gloves in the relative cold(40 + degrees) and love them. Somewhat bulky, but not a real issue for me. I find them very comfortable(likewise for the Pro Summer glovres in warmer weather). For colder temps, I'll either keep the Pro Winters on along with the heated grips or use the Gerbing T-5's.

I thought I would try something different this winter.
I bought a pair of Sealskinz Extreme Cold Weather gloves, used them on one occasion of a two hour motorway hike home in torrential rain, my hands stayed completely dry. 
I did try a few miles without the heated grips and my hands were beginning to feel the cold.
But without heated grips what gloves will keep our hands warm during the wet winter months what with the wind factor and all?
In normal coldish weather on A roads I found them to be totally efficient.
These gloves are soft and flexible enough to feel the controls and the sat nav.

Incredibly warm and they have lasted four seasons so far and no sign of failing.

Best winter gloves I've ever owned - bar none.

I have two pairs of Rev-it gore.tex  gloves, Phantom GTX summer gloves, these are lovely and supple 100% Leather giving plenty of feel for switches etc and a pair of Bastion GTX winter gloves 59% Leather 41% Textile these are much thicker so not as much feel but never had frozen fingers with these although the ends of my fingers have become cool and thanks to the Gore.tex neither pair have ever let in water.

I ride in very cold weather (-10 C) for extended periods. I tried several brands but the only gloves that kept me truly warm (I can place my hands on my girlfriends back after a ride) are my BMW winter gloves.

You ride in 10 degrees below zero  ??   On a snowmobile maybe ?

and incredible tyres, not to mention ice-riding skills!


Over here, we tend to suggest to people that once you see 2 or 3 degrees C, you definitely don't want to be on a bike...
