Removing fuel tank

I need to replace the front ABS sensor on my R1200RT 2012, and for this I need to remove the fuel tank.
I can see that the wiring/hoses at the top left fuel pump cluster needs removed and also the breather pipe and the 4 retaining bolts, is there anything connected to the underside or does the tank just lift off?
Chris... ^-^

Although I haven't removed the tank myself, reading this thread & speaking to Mike himself, the tank just lifts off, nothing is connected beneath.

Anybody know if I could get away with just removing the storeage compartment for fitting the front abs sensor instead of taking the tank of?
And if so, does the storeage compartment come off easiy enough?

Yes, it's held in place with 3 torx head screws.

Don't know if you need to take the tank off, but this guy with a 2007 RT, removed the tank to inspect the ABS cable,

In this photo, there is a cable clipped to the brake hose which attaches to the lower fork yoke, that could well be the ABS sensor wire.
There is a connector below the module & above the brake pipe at a 45deg. angle, could that be it.

The connector on this ABS sensor looks like it could be the little devil.

David,
I think you may have saved me a lot of bother, that certainly looks like the ABS sensor plug.
Thanks for your efforts...

Can you access it without taking the tank off.

Yes, I fitted the new ABS sensor this morning, by removing the storage compartment I got access to the plug... ^-^
