"Northern Monkeys" - Meet Up.

Post by David. »

Looking back, it was on the 29th October 2016 than a Yorks/Lincs meet up took place, https://1200rt.com/viewtopic.php?t=2

My RT has been tucked away since the end of October & will be taxed again on 1st April 2017.

Is there interest in another Northern meet up, any thoughts and/or suggestions.

I've not been, but how about the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, http://www.murtonpark.co.uk/, the café is accessible without paying entry to the museum.

As above, my RT will be on the road from Saturday 1st April, the café also opens on this date.

For me, it'll be weather permitting, when are you available.

I'm looking for an excuse for a good run.
Weather permitting, I could have a run down to York to arrive the evening before a meet then head for home after the meet.  I'd have a look around the museum in the morning.
Although retired, I have several commitments so it would also depend on the day / date. Most Tuesday's, Friday's & Saturday's would work for me.
I'll watch this space. ^-^

BBC Weather - York, http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2633352

The 10 day forecast suggests that Saturday 1st April might be reasonable.

Nope, weather permitting I'll be there.

The café opens at 10:30, is that ok with you travelling from Manchester.

Leaves time for a ride out if that's what folks would like to do.

Keep an eye on this thread, I'll post "yea or nay", nearer the time.

Would you like to have a ride out together from York, would be happy with a destination that leaves us a similar distance/time to ride home from, any thoughts.

Masham looks good, about an hour from York.

Would Bolton Abbey be ok as a mutual place to head home from?
