As the title says, I'm off to France in the morning and it's the first time I'll have gone abroad on this bike, I've had it 10 months now and covered 5000 miles without a hiccup So hopefully another 2k in the next few days should be a breeze 8) I'll post some pics along the way
Loaded and raring to go.

Looks the biz. Stay safe and have a good trip. Looking forward to the pics. You'll be ready for an authentic 'full english' when you get back or are you 'taking supplies?

Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
The morning started well with clear blue skies and nice 20 degree's C at Castleford where I met up with Mick for bacon butties and coffee before heading south for Folkestone to catch the Euro tunnel.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
We stopped at Boulogne -Sur- Mer for an overnight pit stop and some light refreshments at the Buffalo Grill, we stayed in a Premiere Classe which are very basic and not recommended for anything more than getting your head down for the night.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
The following morning I awoke at 5am and had a brew whilst waiting for the sun to come up before going for a walk.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
We headed off down to Honfleur for lunch where we've stayed on numerous occasions, This gave us the opportunity to ride over the Pont de Normandie again, It's quite interesting on a windy day.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Honfeur Port. Nice town and worth a stop if you're visiting the WW2 sites.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Then we headed off down to Dinan where we were stopping for the next three days, With it being such a clear and sunny day we got a pretty good view of Mont Saint Michel where we'd visited in 2016 whilst staying in Granville.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
We arrived first (before the ferry travellers) at Dinan where we was staying in the Hotel Ibis Styles Dinan Centre which I highly recommend :-)
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
The seafarers finally arrived and took their positions next to the land lubbers bikes outside the hotel.
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Saturday morning took us on a ride down to Perros-Guirec looking for some 'Pink Rocks' that have took amazing shape over the years? We never found them so had a walk round the port instead, then went for some out of season (small) Moules & Frites.

Then we headed of in the direction of Binic (another port) via the coast road because someone had recommended a good ice cream parlour
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Sunday saw the weather take a slight turn for the worst :-( so we spent the morning doing a bit of sight seeing around our host town.

Sunday evening took a turn for the worst weather wise with an absolute downpour!
But the food was good whilst tucked up inside the restaurant
Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Monday brought a repeat of the inbound journey back to Honfleur for lunch before heading back to Boulogne for the night, This time we had 100 miles of heavy rain to contend with though :-( the RT does a good job of keeping the worst weather off you :-)
Just short of 2k in five days and the RT is back on the drive being cleaned ready for weekend :-)

Re: Off to France in the Morning :-)
Great pics, thanks for posting. Lovely old town and always nice to see boats. I can smell the garlic. Just got my Michelin maps off the shelf and Basecamp is centred on La Belle France. Mange tout as Delboy often remarks.
