2014 Headlight warning

Post by Heino »

Headlight warning comes on but the headlights are all working.
Can it be the warning comes on before the bulb blows.
See the photos attached, the warning and also a photo showing all lights working.

Do you have adaptive headlights, if I remember correctly on my 1600 you could get a warning if it failed

What about the back ones and your indicators.  You will get a warning for them and if you have changed the bulbs for a different wattage possibly.  You will definitely not get a warning for a failed bulb that hasn't .

Since you have an authority bike the electrics may be different to our standard bikes. Perhaps you could ask a dealer.

When I traded in my 2014 for a current model, I took the BMW LED fog/aux lights off to fit them to the new one.  As soon as I started the bike after the LEDs the bulb failure light came on. The dealer then discovered that the lights need to be activated and deactivated on the computer.

Could this be a similar issue to yours with something removed causing a 'ghost' failure ?
