Is it some sort of law?
That when you buy a new bike it starts raining for 2 weeks straight? I have been out on my bike once since I bought it because of all the rain we are suddenly getting in Western North Carolina. :nervous:
Grr. I guess I can just go sit on it in the garage or something.

Or, wake up to solid cloud, computer says heavy rain within the hour. 6 hours later and too late to bother, still dry.

I consider it quite lanky, 75mm bigger than I!
Re: Is it some sort of law?
I waited months for the beginning of the season in 1998, new bike and about to get my license. Got riding license on 27 March. Rain for five weekends solid. Never happened since to my recollection.
So yes, you might be right...

What on earth is all this nonsense, not riding in the rain and "waiting for the season to start". Word that springs to mind is wimps, as everyone I ride with, ride all year sunshine, rain, Cloud or fog. Only exception is snow and ice. But then most of the folk I ride with are oldies, so probably a different breed.

Re: Is it some sort of law?
No point spending all that money and only using it for a rew months a year. Bikes are for riding.
