help, guidance appreciated. Off to the picos again and came across an article telling me that Bluetooth sets are illegal? Never had a problem last time but never got stopped!
Anyone shed some light on this for me please? Looked a few answers up online but as clear as mud!
Thanks

Had to use google to find the article. In summary it suggests that using helmet mounted speakers is not illegal, but in-ear "buds" may still be illegal.
I use helmet mounted speakers and soft foam ear plugs, which I would expect to be similar in effect to the combination ear plug / speakers I've seen advertised.
Enjoy the Cantabrian mountains of Northern Spain".

Apparently they are. I did some research before we went away (as I always do) just to make sure I was up-to-date with the rules and regs in Spain and discovered that they are not legal. I don't know when that changed but have not come across it before this trip.
That said, Kate and I have recently returned from two weeks playing in the Pyrenees using Bluetooth headsets without any issues. Like all things, don't draw unwanted attention to yourself and you shouldn't have an issue. I think my policy will be to carry on using until the Guarda Civil instruct me differently.

The question is 'Where
are the Picos?' It is a mountain range in Northern Spain. Very popular with a lot of us Brits :-)

BMW Mottoradd Spain sell Bluetooth sets

I have been stopped by police for not having headlight on, but they said nothing about my bluetooth headset.
None of the above proves they are legal though - I'v just never had a problem in three trips to Spain including the Picos area every time.
Hope this helps.
